TRI-COUNTY RURAL ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING & INNOVATION

Mansfield, PA—Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative (REC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Love as the new Vice President of Engineering and Innovation. Patrick brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to advancing the cooperative’s mission of providing safe, reliable, and affordable electric services to its members.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is set to earn his Executive MBA from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh in May. With nearly six years of experience in the electric utility industry, most recently with PPL Electric Utilities, Patrick has a proven record of driving growth and progress. He also brings six years of experience in the oil and gas sector and five years in heavy industrial engineering.

Patrick, a Pennsylvania native, grew up in the Lansdale area. He was attracted to Tri-County REC because of its member-focused structure and the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead for the co-op.

Additionally, Patrick recognized the potential for major advancements within the industry during a critical period when America’s electric grid faces significant challenges due to capacity concerns. He values transparent communication, collaborative teamwork, and strategic forward-planning. Love is excited to contribute to the cooperative’s member-centered mission, bringing a new vision to the table through his professional and educational experiences.

In his new role, Patrick’s priorities include leading the organization in advancing innovation with existing and future technologies that address capacity and reliability. He also looks forward to fostering the growth and development of both current and future employees. Patrick’s passion for travel and mountain sports, including hiking, cycling, and skiing, reflects his adventurous spirit and dedication to continuous improvement.
